According to reports, Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (Soetta) has strengthened health protocols for arriving international passengers in response to renewed concerns over COVID-19. The measure follows the Health Ministry’s recent detection of seven new cases among Indonesian citizens.
• Head of the airport’s Health Quarantine Center (BBKK) has announced stricter health protocols to prevent the spread of COVID-19 into Indonesia through Soekarno-Hatta International Airport.
• The BBKK has coordinated with airlines to ensure that travellers from their country of origin complete the Satu Sehat Healthy Pass (SSHP) before departure. Health monitoring at the airport will also be intensified, aiming to track potential virus transmission.
• Further laboratory testing will be conducted to determine the specific virus strain affecting passengers.
