As per reports, a newly emerged terrorist group known as “Mahmuda” launched an attack on Duruma village in Baruten Local Government Area, Kwara State, on the morning of Tuesday (03 June).

• The attack resulted in the death of three villagers.
• The terrorists exploited a security gap due to the absence of local hunters, who are currently undergoing training in Ilorin.
• The group has been active in the region, previously setting fire to a farm settlement a week prior to this attack.
