The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) has forecast excessive heat and rainfall from the Southwest monsoon across various parts of the Philippines on Tuesday (03 June). The following are the details:

• The Southwest Monsoon is now less likely to bring significant heavy rainfall over Luzon. However, it will continue to bring scattered rains and thunderstorms over Ilocos Region, Abra, Benguet, Zambales, Bataan, Tarlac, and Pampanga in the next 24 hours. PAGASA Regional Services Division will continue to issue local thunderstorm advisories, rainfall advisories, or heavy rainfall warnings as needed.
• Basilan, Sulu, Tawi-Tawi, Sultan Kudarat, South Cotabato, Sarangani, Davao Occidental, and Davao Oriental will experience cloudy skies with scattered rainfall and thunderstorms due to an Intertropical Convergence Zone.
• Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainfall or thunderstorms will also persist throughout Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon. Meanwhile, Visayas and Mindanao will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainfall or localised thunderstorms.
• Additionally, the Heat index is expected to reach ‘danger’ levels (42 degrees Celsius to 51 degrees Celsius) in 36 areas. IGuiuan, Eastern Samar is forecast to experience the highest and most dangerous heat index of 47 degrees Celsius.
• Temperatures of 45 degrees Celsius will be experienced in Aparri, Cagayan; Tuguegarao City, Cagayan; ISU Echague, Isabela; Virac (Synop), Catanduanes; and Masbate City, Masbate.
• The remaining areas forecast to face excessive heat include: Infanta, Quezon; Calapan, Oriental Mindoro; Daet, Camarines Norte; Juban, Sorsogon; Dipolog, Zamboanga Del Norte; Sangley Point, Cavite City, Cavite; Alabat, Quezon; Coron, Palawan; Cuyo, Palawan; Legazpi City, Albay; CBSUA-Pili, Camarines Sur; Roxas City, Capiz; Dumangas, Iloilo; Catbalogan, Western Samar; Tacloban City, Leyte; Borongan, Eastern Samar; Surigao City, Surigao Del Norte; Sinait, Ilocos Sur; Baler (Radar), Aurora; Casiguran, Aurora; Ambulong, Tanauan, Batangas; San Jose, Occidental Mindoro; Romblon City, Romblon; BU-Guinobatan, Albay; Iloilo City, Iloilo; Siquijor, Siquijor; Catarman, Northern Samar; Maasin, Southern Leyte; Zamboanga City, Zamboanga Del Sur; Butuan City, Agusan Del Norte.
