IMD issues red, orange and yellow alerts for heavy rainfall in parts of Kerala from 28-29 May

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued red, orange and yellow alerts for heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and squall in parts of Kerala for Wednesday and Thursday (28-29 May).

• For Wednesday (28 May), the following alerts have been issued: – A red alert has been issued for the areas of Kannur, Wayanad and Khozhikode. – An orange alert has been issued for the areas of Kasaragod, Mallapuram, Palakkad, Thrissur, Ernakulum, Idukki, Kottayam, and Pathanamthitta. – A yellow alert has been issued for the areas of Alapuzha, Kollam and Thiruvananthapuram.
• For Thursday (29 May), the following alerts have been issued: -A red alert has been issued for the areas of ayanad and Khozhikode. – An orange alert has been issued for the areas of Kasaragod, Kannur, Mallapuram, Palakkad, Thrissur, Ernakulum, Idukki, Kottayam, and Pathanamthitta.- A yellow alert has been issued for the areas of Alapuzha, Kollam and Thiruvananthapuram.
