As per reports, Mumbai Police received an email on the morning of Saturday (17 May) threatening bomb attacks at two major city landmarks- Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport and Taj Mahal Palace Hotel.

• An email was reportedly sent to Mumbai airport police as the motive behind alleged attacks of Afzal Guru.
• The Mumbai Police and security teams immediately investigated both sites. No explosives or suspicious items were found. Nevertheless, a case has been registered against the email sender, and efforts are underway to trace the digital origin of the threat.
• Mumbai remains on high alert, partly due to ongoing India-Pakistan tensions.
