As per reports, a peace march calling for a reduction in the military burden of bases was held in Okinawa Prefecture on Saturday (17 May). Protesters staged peaceful protests demanding a reduction in the size of U.S. military bases and the Japanese Self-Defence Forces.

More than 100 participants marched around the Kadena Air Base, set out from the Yomitan Village Government and around the U.S. military’s Futenma Air Base (Ginowan City).
