As per reports, the US National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning effective on Thursday (15 May) from 2116 hours (local time) to 2245 hours (local time) in Michigan.

• Affected counties include Mason County, Muskegon County, Oceana County and Ottawa County.
• Severe thunderstorms were reported at 2115 hours (local time), located along a line extending from 19 miles northwest of Ludington State Park, 23 miles southwest of Montague, to 38 miles east of Wind Point.
• The storm system is reportedly moving east at 55 miles per hour. Wind gusts may reach up to 70 miles per hour.
• Penny-sized hail (0.75 inches in diameter) is anticipated. The storm is expected to cause considerable tree damage.
