As per reports, the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) has announced the closure of both directions of I-494 at the Highway 52 interchange in Inver Grove Heights for four days from Thursday (15 May).
• The closure will begin at 2100 hours (local time) on Thursday (15 May), and is expected to last until 0500 hours (local time) on Monday (19 May), weather permitting.
• The affected stretch of I-494 lies between Blaine Avenue and Babcock Trail, including the full section of Highway 52 to I-494.
• The closure is part of a larger infrastructure project involving redecking bridges and paving ramps on Highway 52, which runs over I-494.
• Traffic will be rerouted through designated detours during the closure period; signage will be posted to guide drivers.
