The Indian Meteorological Department of India has issued alert for inclement weather conditions in parts of Maharashtra on Wednesday (07 May). An orange alert for thunderstorm, lightning, and squall will be observed in Nandurbar, Dhule, Nashik, Hingoli, Nanded and Parbhani. A yellow alert has been issued for Jalgaon, Aurangabad, Jalna, Beed, Latur, Osmanabad, Solapur, Sangli, Satara, Raigad, Mumbai Suburban, Thane and Palghar.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the Mumbai Metropolitan region will experience rainfall and thunderstorms over at least the next two days, with a yellow alert sounded in Mumbai until Thursday (08 May) morning at least. While no warnings have been sounded in Mumbai following Thursday (08 May), for now, the city may continue to experience cloudy skies with drizzle until Friday (09 May).
