As per reports, on Sunday (27 April) evening, the members of the Indian diaspora and Pakistani groups held simultaneous demonstrations outside the Indian High Commission in London following the Pahalgam terror attack.

• The Indian community gathered to counter a protest by Pakistani demonstrators, who were protesting against alleged Indian propaganda. Both groups waved national flags and engaged in vocal slogan battles.
• The Indian supporters reportedly outnumbered the Pakistani protestors, and the situation was marked by a significant Metropolitan Police presence to keep the groups apart and maintain order.
• During the night on Sunday (27 April), a candlelight vigil organised by British Indian groups at Piccadilly Circus honoured the 26 victims of the Pahalgam attack, including 25 Indians and one Nepalese citizen. Simultaneously, events under the campaign ‘All Eyes on Pahalgam’ unfolded across the UK. Insight UK, a community group, emphasised unity against terrorism.
• Despite verbal altercations, a strong police deployment ensured that the situation did not escalate into physical confrontations.
