As per reports, five workers were killed and nine seriously injured in the Jinhe Coal Mine, Lanzhou, Gansu Province on Sunday (13 April) due to a carbon dioxide outburst.

As of Monday (14 April), the nine injured are being treated in a nearby hospital. Gansu authorities have also launched a probe to find the cause of the leak, and identify other safety hazards.
