As per the West Bengal State Police’s latest update, the situation in Suti and Jangipur’s Samsherganj has been brought under control, and regular traffic has been restored on the National Highway. Border Security Force (BSF) remains deployed.

Raids are being conducted to arrest those involved in the Friday (11 April)-escalation. The crowd that gathered on Friday night and was responsible for the vandalism had been dispersed by the morning hours of Saturday (12 April).
