As per reports, the Verdi union has called for a strike and protest action in Hamburg on Thursday (10 April).

The protestors will gather at the union building at Besenbinderhof starting at 0930 hours (local time) on Thursday (10 April). They will then march to the Social Democratic Party (SPD) and Green Party headquarters before a final rally is planned for 1130 hours (local time) on Mönckebergstraße.

• The strike is aimed at pressuring ongoing coalition negotiations between SPD and the Greens for a collective agreement on partial retirement.
• The strike involves numerous city employees, including those in district offices, customer centers, the state traffic operation, harbor locks, school staff, and the General Social Service.
