As per reports, the Syndicat Unifié des Cheminots (Sud)-Rail union, the leading organization among SNCF drivers with 33 percent representation, has announced its intention to strike between 06 May and 08 May in parts of France.
• The union is calling for an increase in the specific traction bonus for drivers, as well as its maintenance during sick leave or absence, and a structural overhaul to simplify the bonus system.
• The Sud-Rail union has already filed a strike notice, which will be effective from 1900 hours (local time) on 06 May to 0800 hours (local time) on 08 May. This strike action is planned to coincide with the day before the 08 May bank holiday.
• The strike will affect all train services operated by Société Nationale des Chemins de fer Français (SNCF), including Train à Grande Vitesse (TGV), Transport Express Régional (TER), and other regional lines, particularly on 07 May, the day before the public holiday.
