As per reports, Transports Metropolitans de Barcelona, (TMB – Metropolitan Transport of Barcelona) has scheduled maintenance work on the subway network from 12 April through 21 April, a period when overall commuter activity is reduced due to school closures and employee vacations.

• Two planned outages will affect subway service, a major disruption on Line 2 from 12 April 12 to 21 April and a shorter disruption on Line 1 during the weekend of 12 and 13 April.
• On Line 2, track platform improvements at Artigas and Pep Ventura stations will result in the suspension of service between La Pau and Badalona/Pompeu Fabra stations. On Line 1, accessibility upgrades at Clot station is scheduled to lead to the closure of the section between La Sagrera and Glòries.
• TMB has advised the passengers to utilize the metro network where possible, with suggested route connections through Lines 4, 5, 9 Nord, and 10 Nord. Several bus routes and the tram system are also available as alternatives.
