As per reports, Highway 1 through Rogers Pass, British Columbia, was closed on Saturday (01 March) for avalanche control work.

The closure was extended to 1800 hours local time. The closure affects the stretch between Revelstoke and Golden. The Canadian Armed Forces are conducting controlled avalanches using 105-mm Howitzers.
