As per reports, Union Home Minister Amit Shah chaired a high-level security review meeting on Saturday (01 March), instructing security forces to ensure the free movement of people across Manipur from Saturday (08 March) and to take strict action against any attempts to obstruct roads.

The security meeting also addressed the Thursday (06 March) deadline set by the Manipur Governor for individuals to surrender looted and illegal weapons.
