According to reports, the Federation of Environmental Activists has announced that it will organize statewide protests in Tamil Nadu to demand protection for activists fighting illegal stone quarrying.

The activists will commence the planned protest from Thirumayam area in Pudukkottai district, on Sunday (16 February).
