As per reports, a major water line broke in downtown Weston, West Virginia, on Friday (07 February), afternoon, causing street flooding and service disruptions.
• The break occurred on Court Avenue, between the Library and CVS, as confirmed by Lewis County Commissioner.
• West Virginia American Water reported that customers in the affected area will experience water service disruptions until 0000 hours (local time) on Saturday (08 February).
• A boil water advisory has been issued for affected customers until service is restored and water quality is confirmed.
• Water quality samples will be collected once repairs are completed, requiring a minimum of 24 hours for analysis.
• The cause of the water line break has not yet been determined.
