As per reports, the Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPM) has announced a statewide protest demonstration across Tamil Nadu on Tuesday (04 February) to condemn the BJP-led central government’s budget. CPM’s Tamil Nadu State Secretary stated that the protest will take place in cities, towns, and villages throughout Tamil Nadu. The protest aims to highlight the tax burdens and policies that CPM claims are politically motivated and undermine federalism.
