As per reports, rail services across Sussex have been disrupted on Thursday (30 January), due to multiple incidents, including a landslip, an electricity failure, and a signaling fault. A landslip between Three Bridges and Gatwick Airport has led to the closure of some northbound lines, causing delays and service changes.
• National Rail has advised that Gatwick Express and Southern services may experience delays of up to 10 minutes, while Thameslink services remain unaffected but may be busier than usual.
• Passengers have been informed that they may need to change trains during their journey, adding at least 10 minutes to travel time.
• Network Rail engineers are working to resolve a signaling fault in the Southampton area, affecting Southern Rail services, which may terminate or restart at different stations.
• In East Sussex, a failure of the electricity supply between Hove and Preston Park caused delays earlier in the day, but services have since returned to normal.
• Passengers delayed by 15 minutes or more may be eligible for compensation under the Delay Repay scheme.
