As per reports, members of the National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) staged a protest at the Jiwaji University in Gwalior on Sunday (26 January) against the flag salutation by the university’s Vice Chancellor. The protest was announced on Saturday (25 January) evening.

NSUI leader Paras Yadav claimed that the Vice Chancellor has a case registered against him under the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) and should not be allowed to hoist the flag. The police then detained the protestors.
