Winter storm forecast in Flagstaff on Tuesday (07 January)

As per reports, a winter storm is expected to impact northern Arizona starting Tuesday (07 January), afternoon, with cold winds and light snowfall anticipated. The storm will persist overnight into Wednesday (08 January) morning.

• Temperatures in Flagstaff and Grand Canyon Village are predicted to drop into the low 30 degrees Fahrenheit, while areas further south, including Payson and Globe, may experience a light dusting of snowfall.
• Most snowfall is expected to occur north and east of the Mogollon Rim, with Flagstaff likely to receive one to two inches of snowfall.
• Statewide winds are projected to intensify on Tuesday (07 January), with gusts reaching 25 miles per hour in lower desert areas and up to 45 miles per hour in higher terrains. A High Wind Watch is in effect for parts of the Colorado River, where gusts may reach 60 miles per hour.
• Cooler temperatures and breezy conditions are forecast for the Valley. Scattered rainfall may occur early Wednesday (08 January), morning, but significant rainfall is unlikely.
