As per reports, the following are the updates for the Israel-Hamas war as of Saturday (21 December):
• A mosque in West Bank was allegedly set on fire by Israeli settlers with racist slogans spray-painted in Hebrew. This took place at the Bar al-Walidain mosque in Marda village.
• A missile strike was reported in Tel Aviv, originating from Yemen. Around 16 people were injured as a result of shattered glass.
• Houthi official Hezam al-Asad posted on X (formerly Twitter), stating that the failure of the Israeli defence systems means the heart of the “enemy” is no longer secure. The Israeli military confirmed that they attempted to intercept the incoming missile, but failed.
• Reports suggest that Israel Defense Forces (IDF) fired at protestors in southern Syria to disperse the crowd, injuring one person.
