As per reports, a group of workers of the Bangladesh Railway staged a blockade in Dhaka’s Tejgaon on Tuesday (17 December) from 1045 hours until 1230 hours. This took place due to unresolved demands which included five months of overdue salaries and regularization of work.
The blockade was lifted after reassurances from the authorities that their due amount would be cleared by Thursday (19 December). However, the workers threatened to resume their protests on Sunday (22 December) if their payments are not cleared by the due date.
