As per reports, on Friday (13 December), prominent Telugu film actor Allu Arjun has been arrested by Hyderabad Police in connection with the 04 December stampede at the premiere of his film “Pushpa 2” in Hyderabad. He was taken into custody by a team from the Chikkadpally Police Station, where the case was registered. After recording his statement at the police station, he has been taken to Osmania Hospital for a check-up. The actor will be produced before a magistrate later in the day.

Arjun had previously approached the Telangana High Court seeking to clear his name from the stampede case, but the court had refused to do so, citing that his name had not come up in the case at that point.
