As per reports, at least two people were killed and nine others injured in an explosion at a gas refinery in Calenzano, near Florence, Italy, on Monday (09 December).

• Four individuals remain missing following the blast at the ENI-owned refinery, one of Italy’s largest energy companies.
• The fire resulting from the explosion has been brought under control, according to local authorities.
• The Department of Civil Protection issued an alert for the area within a five-kilometer radius of the explosion, advising residents to keep windows closed and avoid the area.
