As per reports, the Ministry of National Defense (MND) tracked 11 Chinese military aircraft and eight naval ships around Taiwan between 0600 hours on Wednesday (20 November) and Thursday (21 November). Of the 11 People’s Liberation Army (PLA) aircraft, nine crossed the Taiwan Strait median line in the nation’s northern and southwestern air defense identification zone (ADIZ), according to the MND.

In response, Taiwan sent aircraft and naval ships and deployed coastal-based missile systems to monitor PLA activity.
