As per reports, a stabbing occurred on Monday (28 October), night in Vanier, leading to the death of one man and the arrest of a suspect.

• Ottawa Police Service received reports of the stabbing on Ste. Monique Street near Ste Cécile Street before 2000 hours (local time) on Monday (28 October).
• Officers from the Ottawa Police were dispatched to the scene following the reports of the stabbing. The homicide unit of the Ottawa Police Service is investigating the incident.
