As per reports, a fire broke out at an industrial complex in the Kalher area of Bhiwandi, Thane, near the Kalyan/Bhiwandi Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) area on Friday (11 October). The fire outbreak was reported at around 1800 hours and has damaged at least eight godowns in the complex.

No injuries have been reported, however firefighting operations remain underway. Further details are awaited.
