As per reports, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) recorded an earthquake of magnitude 4.7 around eight kilometers northwest Jordán, Colombia and around 37 km south of Bucaramanga, Santander at around 0205 hours local time on Sunday (29 September).

The depth of the earthquake was 156 km and the epicenter was located at Los Santos in Santander. People likely experienced very weak shaking in Jordan, Villanueva, Zapatoca, Curiti, Piedecuesta, San Gil, Bucaramanga and San Andrés located in Santander.
