As per reports, the women’s rights collective 69 has scheduled demonstrations in parts of France on Saturday (28 September), in recognition of World Day for the Right to Abortion.

The demonstration is scheduled at 1600 hours (local time), at Place de la Comédie in the first arrondissement and at the Port-Royal in Paris from 1430 hours (local time).

• The rally coincides with World Day for the Right to Abortion, emphasizing the importance of women’s rights and the need for individuals to have autonomy over their bodies.
• In a press release, the collective stated that despite advancements, there is still a need for advocacy to ensure that women and gender minorities can freely access abortion services.
