As per reports, Institute of Meteorology and Water Management (IMGW) has issued warnings of rising water levels and potential flooding in several provinces in Poland, along with alerts for severe storms with heavy rainfall on Wednesday (25 September).

• A red alert for increased water levels has been issued for Lower Silesia and Greater Poland.
• First-degree warnings for high water levels are issued for Southern Silesia and Lesser Poland.
• Storm warnings are issued for Lublin (Janów, Biłgoraj, Tomaszów, Zamość, Hrubieszów, Chełm, Krasnystaw), Subcarpathian, Lesser Poland (Dąbrowa, Tarnów, Gorlice, Nowy Sącz, Tatra, Nowy Targ, Sucha, Myślenice, Wieliczka, Bochnia, Brzesko), and Silesia (Żywiec county).
• High water levels are expected to persist in the Barycz River and other regions, posing risks of flooding.
• Rainfall of 20 to 30 litres per metre square and wind gusts up to 75 kilometres per hour are anticipated until 2200 hours local time on Wednesday (25 September).
