As per the forecast issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD), orange alerts for very heavy rainfall have been issued for Mumbai Suburban and Mumbai City on Sunday (25 August).

As per the latest nowcast issued at 0700 hours and valid till 1000 hours, an orange alert for moderate rainfall (05-15 mm/hour) is active in both districts.
