As per reports, the following are the latest updates on protest calls issued by opposition groups for demonstrations against the Cambodia-Laos-Vietnam Development Cooperation Triangle (CLV-DTA), as of Wednesday (21 August);

• The National Assembly of Cambodia has officially responded to claims made by former opposition lawmakers regarding the CLV-DTA project during a press conference.
• During this, Chheang Vun, Chairman of the National Assembly Committee on Economy, Finance, Banking and Auditing addressed allegations made by Long Ry, a former lawmaker from the Sam Rainsy Party. Ry claimed he was unaware of the CLV-DTA project during his tenure as a member in the National Assembly.
• Vun further dismissed claims and questioned how Ry was unaware of the CLV-DTA project when his province was included as well.
• Prime Minister Hun Manet thanked all security forces and other relevant authorities for maintaining public order and peace in Cambodia during attempts in creating unrest as planned on Sunday (18 August).
