As per reports, the National Weather Service issued a heat advisory from 1200 hours until 2000 hours local time on Thursday (08 August) for Jefferson and Orange counties in Texas.

Heat index values up are expected to reach 111 degrees Fahrenheit.

• An Excessive Heat Warning has also been issued for Jack, Palo Pinto, Stephens, and Young Counties, as temperatures are expected to be recorded between to 105 to 107 degrees Fahrenheit, through 2100 hours local time on Thursday (08 August).
• Additionally, the NWS Houston has issued an Air Quality alert for the Houston, Galveston, and Brazoria area for Wednesday (07 August), due to high levels of ozone.
