According to reports, local police have increased security vigilance across the region, as several thousands of visitors have gathered to attend the Canal Parade in Amsterdam, on Saturday (03 August).

The 27th edition of the boat parade have commenced from the Oosterdok and will continue via the Nieuwe Herengracht, the Amstel, and the Prinsengracht to the Westerdok, till 1800 hours (local time).
