As per reports, the owners of solar power plants (SPP) staged a national protest on Wednesday (26 June) blocking the Sofia-Ruse Road at the cloverleaf interchange of the village of Yasen near Pleven at 0900 hours local time.

The protest was against the recently introduced Methodology for Determining Balancing Electricity Prices which, negatively impacts the financial security of the market and the security of the entire energy system.
