As per reports, the Aircraft Mechanics Fraternal Association (AMFA), the union that represents WestJet Aircraft Maintenance Engineers (AMEs), and other Technical Operations employees called for a work stoppage on Friday (28 June) at 1730 hours local time after failed negotiations with WestJet.
Canada’s WestJet Airlines stated on Wednesday (26 June), that the AMFA had rejected its new offer and served a second-strike notice, just days after the union called off a strike and agreed to return to the bargaining table.
