As per reports, over 100 firefighters including seven volunteer fire departments, supported by 25 vehicles responded to a forest fire in the Mödling district, spanning the area between Mödling, Hinterbrühl, and Gaaden, on Wednesday (15 May).

• The Mödling district fire brigade command stated that the fire was located on a hard-to-reach mountain ridge and is being contained.
• Subsequently, the Fire Brigade Aviation Service of the Lower Austrian State Fire Brigade Association responded with two helicopters dispatched from the Ministry of the Interior.
