As per reports, the National Institute of Meteorology (INMET) has issued an alert for heavy rainfall in parts of the country valid from 0932 hours (local time) till 1000 hours (local time) Friday (12 April).

• Heavy rainfall between 20 and 30 mmph along with strong winds 40-60 kmph are expected in the warned areas.
• Areas likely to be affected include Pará, Federal District, São Francisco Pernambucano, parts of Mato Grosso, parts of Amazonas among other areas.
