As per reports, the National Meteorological Institute (IMN) has warned of severe heatwave like conditions across the country from Tuesday (12 March).

• In the province of Guanacaste , a maximum temperature of 41 degrees Celsius has been predicted.
• In Palo Verde and Sitio Negritos as well, upto 40 degrees Celsius is anticipated.
• The IMN has ruled out instances of rainfall in the short term and communicated that heatwave conditions are expected to grow more acute in the coming days.
