Railway unions to stop all trains from 01 May for non-implementation of old pension scheme

As per reports, several unions of railway employees and workers, who have come together under the Joint Forum For Restoration of Old Pension Scheme (JFROPS), have threatened to stop all train services across the country from 01May if their demand to implement the Old Pension Scheme is not met.

General Secretary of All India Railwaymen’s Federation also stated that representatives of various federations under JFROPS have jointly consented to officially serve a notice to the Railway Ministry on 19 March for the proposed countrywide strike and disruption of all train services from 01 May.
