TET 2022 candidates’ protest reported in Kolkata on Tuesday (27 February)

As per reports, candidates of the Teaching Eligibility Test (TET) 2022 batch staged a protest on Tuesday (27 February) in Karunamoyee in the Salt Lake area of Kolkata demanding employment. They have claimed that the interview notification for jobs has not been issued yet. Their demonstration at the Karunamoyee intersection led to traffic congestion, resulting in the interference of the Kolkata Police.

Clashes between demonstrators and police personnel were witnessed as the police attempted to remove the demonstrators from the site. Several people were detained and injured in the process.
