As per reports, a shooting incident took place inside JD Sports located on the corner of West 42nd Street and Broadway in Times Square, Manhattan around 1906 hours (local time) on Thursday (08 February).

• According to initial reports, the shooting occurred when a shoplifter shot and injured a tourist while aiming for the security guard. The shooter was accompanied by two other persons.
• The police has launched a search operation for the alleged gunman after the suspects fled heading north on 6th Avenue.
