As per reports, farmers under the banner of the Sanyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM) took out a tractor parade in the city on Republic Day (Friday (26 January) against the policies of the government. The farmers started the tractor parade from Company Bagh, which passed through the Mall Road and other areas, before culminating at Rialto Chowk in Amritsar.

Moreover, members of SKM took out a tractor march against the central government in Sangrur as well. Two separate tractor marches were also taken out by the BKU (Ugrahan) in support of farmers’ demands in Sangrur and Dhuri blocks.
