As per reports, Toronto Pearson International Airport has issued a statement to warn passengers of possible disruptions on Tuesday (17 January) amid extreme cold conditions.
• According to Environment Canada, very cold temperatures of between negative 14 to negative 16 degrees Celsius is predicted from Tuesday (16 January) afternoon onwards till overnight into Wednesday (17 January). Further, the wind chill is expected to lower temperatures to negative 25 degrees Celsius.
• Airport authorities warn that weather systems across Canada may impact flights at Toronto Pearson Airport on Tuesday (16 January). Travelers have been advised to check their flight status before they depart.
• City authorities also predict snowfall of not more than two centimetres on Tuesday (16 January). Warming centers accepting walk-ins have been opened at 136 Spadina Road, 75 Elizabeth Street, 12 Holmes Avenue, and 885 Scarborough Golf Club Road. Another warming center on Toronto’s Cecil Street is scheduled to be opened at 1700 hours (local time) Tuesday (16 January).
