As per reports, in view of the Chennai Metro Rail construction at RK Salai Metro Station, Thirumylai Metro Station and Mandaveli Metro Stations, the following roads will be closed from Sunday (07 January):

• Stretch 1: Royapettah High Road Ajantha Junction to RK Salai X Royapettah 1 Point):

Vehicles coming from G.R.H Point to RK Salai (Royapettah 1 point) via Ajantha Junction diverted towards V. P. Raman road – Right – Judge Jumbulingam Street – Right – RK Salai. Vehicles coming from Royapettah High Road towards GRH – Royapettah Bridge Service road- Left Niligris junction – Music Academy service road – Right – TTK Road – Gowdiya Mutt Road. V.P Raman road VM Street In to Judge Jumbulingam Street), V.M Street, Judge Jumbulingam Street will be made “One Way” for all Vehicles. Heavy vehicles restriction from Ajantha Junction to Indian Bank Junction via ADMK Party Office.
• Stretch 2: RK Mutt Road ( Luz Junction to Thirumylal MRTS):

Vehicles coming from RK Salai, on Royapettah High Road towards Mandaiveli junction via Luz junction diverted at Luz junction – Right Luz Church road- turn left – D’Silva road- Bakthavachalam street- Warren road- Right -St Mary’s road – Turn left CP Ramasamy road to reach their destination.
Vehicles coming from RK Mutt Road towards Royapettah High Road diverted at Venkatesa Agraharam street (Sai Baba temple street) – left -Dr.Ranga road – right – East Abiramapuram Street- Luz Avenue Mundakaganniyamman Temple Street will be converted into one lane for all vehicles. From CP Koil Junction to RK Madam Road Junction to North Mada Street will be allowed to be two-way. City Mini Buses departing from Mylapore via RK Madam Road can proceed to Manthaivela Post Office – Manthaivela Street – Right – Norton Road – Left Turn – Left on South Canal Bank Road.
• Section 3: RK Madam Road (From Thiruvenkadam Street Junction to Grace Supermarket):

Vehicles coming from Warren Road – Turn right – St. Mary’s Road – Turn left – CP Ramasamy Road – Kaliappa Junction – Go straight RA Puram 3rd Cross Street – Kamarajar Road – Srinivasa Avenue – Greenways Junction towards R.K. .to reach their destination by going through the temple road. Vehicles coming from Greenways Junction to Manthively RK Madam Road – Left – Thiruvenkadam Street – Thiruvenkadam Street Extension – V.K. Iyer Road – Devanathan Street – Right – St Mary’s Road – Left – RK Madam Road to reach their destination. Municipal buses going to Manthivelly – Warren Road left – St. Mary’s Road – Right turn – Sirungeri Matha Road and V.K. Manthaveli Bus Stand can be reached via Iyer Road. Srinivasa Avenue, Thiruvenkadam Street, Thiruvenkadam Street Extn, School Road, will be operated as one-way road.
