As per reports, a fire broke out in a 12-storey building in the Nishi-Shinjuku area of Tokyo at around 1620 hours (local time). The Tokyo Fire Department reported that the fire broke out in the residential area of the building and spread across the third and fourth floor, affecting the commercial building area.

Eight people have been injured and are undergoing treatment.
