As per reports, the Road Transport Corporation (RTC) rental bus owners have announced a strike starting from Friday (05 January) over a series of demands. The primary concern revolves around the Maha Lakshmi scheme, offering free TSRTC (Telangana State Road Transport Corporation) bus travel for women, which they claim causes overcrowding and mileage issues. Moreover, insufficient insurance coverage raises fears of financial losses in accidents due to exceeded bus limits. Additionally, they opted out of participating in the recent TSRTC tender for bus maintenance to express their discontent.
